When is your ITV due?

Two dates and you'll know when it's due and the best days to go. Then have it prepared and taken for you.

CarFirst ITV at 4 years, then every 2 years, and every year once it's over 10.
Van up to 3,500 kgFirst ITV at 2 years, every 2 years up to 6, every year up to 10, then every 6 months.

An estimate from the official rules (Real Decreto 920/2017, art. 6). The date on your ITV card is the one that counts. Nothing you enter is saved or sent.

What is it?
Has it had a Spanish ITV before?
On the registration document (permiso de circulación). For an imported car, the ORIGINAL first registration.

What to send me

The more I can see and hear, the quicker I can tell you what it needs. Send what you can:

  1. A photo of the dashboardWith the engine running, so any warning lights show.
  2. A short video of the problem20 to 30 seconds, phone close to the noise. Say when it happens: cold, warm, changing gear, braking.
  3. The mileageA photo of the odometer is fine.
  4. The car's papers or number plateSo I can look up the exact model and the right parts.
  5. Any leakLeave cardboard under the car overnight and send a photo. The colour helps.
  6. What has already been doneOther garages' invoices, fault codes already read, parts already changed. It saves paying twice.
  7. Where the car isAnd when it is free for me to work on.
